WizKids / NECA and CBS announced today that it signed an agreement which will create the WizKids miniatures game HeroClix format in the be sold physically and digitally, based on the Star Trek universe, including all television series and films.
"Star Trek changed the way people think about the future," said Lax Chandra President of WizKids / NECA. "We are excited about the opportunity of marrying our innovative game design and exceptional miniatures, as fabulously wealthy franchise Star Trek. We believe HeroClix and Star Trek Universe are ideal for minis games by bringing a new range of possibilities to the players."
The first product will be released around Christmas 2010, with further expansions to follow.
