Dreamworks hired John August, a collaborator of Tim Burton (The Chocolate Factory, Big Fish , Corpse Bride) to adapt Monsterpocalypse game to the big screen. Dreamworks is hoping that Burton, whose Alice in Wonderland has just become the fifth highest grossing film of all time, accepted to be the director of the project, whose start is uncertain for Burton's commitment to an adaptation of "Dark Shadows" with Johnny Depp, which should start filming in late 2010, just after the quarter ends Depp Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
DreamWorks is currently in talks with Burton, and the program seems to be the only major icognita, since the studio is eager to begin the project of Monsterpocalypse and Burton is known for his "prep work normally expansive" . Depp is talking about taking a break after four "Pirates", which could delay the production of "Dark Shadows", and would complicate the process of filming Monsterpocalypse.
Monsterpocalypse, is inspired kaiju monsters stomping and destroying several places, it seems a natural subject for a big blockbuster 3-D version.
Desperado, who published a comic series in four editions of Monsterpocalypse and the growing fans of the game already "won" the recent monsoon first convention in May in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Well if that's not enough to say which came Monsterpocalypse however, do not know what else is needed. But I lie a company could take this franchise to represent and distribute them in brazilian lands at fair prices.
Who knows!?!
